Sustainability

The word "sustainable" is often misused in the clothing industry. Sustainable to us means ensuring our clothings are designed, manufactured, and used in an environmentally friendly fashion. We aim to achieve a carbon neutral fashion brand, built on equity, social justice, artisan empowerment and community development.

We ensure our brand is sustainable in so many ways

• Our clothings are designed for longevity, so be prepared to wear them for as long as you can and be sure you are reducing your carbon footprint.
• Our fabrics are all biodegradable. We currently use local cotton fabrics grown and woven in Funtua, Northeast Nigeria.
• We have replaced all of our plastic buttons with buttons made out of coconut shell by local artisans, ensuring our garments are 100% biodegradable.
• We employ local artisans to hand dye our fabrics using local techniques passed down from generation to generation.
• Sewing is contracted in small batches to local all-women sewing facilities. We pay per piece at rates negotiated by sewers.
• All of our packaging supplies are recyclable and biodegradable. We will be transitioning our boxes into 100% recycled boxes.
